Yikes. I was messing around with my CD-ROM in RH51, which doesn't seem to
be functioning properly (in Windows or Linux) and tried to relink
/dev/cdrom from 'hdc' to 'hdd' (my other CD-ROM). Unfortunately, I
screwed up and deleted /dev/hdd instead of /dev/cdrom. All of the hddX's
are still there.
/dev/hdc and all its /dev/hdcX's are there, too, but now I can't get
either to work. Is there a way to reinstall these files without
reinstalling the OS? Also, was the original solution (provided I didn't
screw it up) valid? If all else fails, I may simply remove the old CD-ROM
and promote the newer one to master. But I still need to fix the
driver(s).
