Hello. I recently installed the latest version of samba on my Red Hat
5.1 system. I compiled the source and installed it without the rpm. I
guess the installation overwrote some of the samba files that came with
the distrubution. I was wondering if there is a command or way to get
back to the menu in the Red Hat installation and reinstall that version
of samba. I tried to unistall the version I most recently installed
with no luck. Currently, with the missing samba files, my systems boots
exteremly slow (stopping for several minutes when trying to load smbd
and nmbd) and applications run slow. I would be open to any ideas.
Thanks,
Jesse
