We have an opening at the Assessment Resource Center for a full-time Computer
Programmer/Analyst II.
Position summary:
Design and implement complex computer programs and maintain existing programs.
Analyze and process data. Provide technical support to ARC staff members.
Essential functions:
Analyze, design, code, test, implement, problem solve, document and maintain
computer programs. Document and perform data management functions including
archiving, backups, restores, corrections, reformatting and subsetting data. Be
able to do systems analysis, produce design documents, and coordinate projects
from start to finish. Interface with other programmers and departmental personnel
on a daily basis. Create and maintain automated procedures for use by other
staff. Design, develop and/or maintain web applications as necessary. Must be
comfortable working in a mixed computing environment including Microsoft, Novell,
Unix and IBM mainframe operating systems. Excellent interpersonal and
communications skills necessary.
Additional preferred qualifications:
Good analytical and problem solving skills. Knowledge of MVS operating systems,
Oracle, VSAM, TSO, Java, HTML, C/C++, CGI, Perl, Visual Basic, or some
combination is desired. Familiarity with Linux and Oracle database servers a
plus.
