Well, I'm not a reiserfs expert, but it sounds like your journaled
filesystem got corrupted. I doubt that fsck will work since that's
probably for ext2 (and maybe for ext3) filesystems as well. Check
through the rpms and read the reiserfs docs to see what filesystem
checking tool it came with. For instance, xfs comes with xfs_repair
and xfs_check.
